Inhibition Of Microbial Biofilms
Statistical test (Kruskall-Wallis test)
The Kruskal-Wallis test revealed statistically significant difference in the absorbance values of the three samples (earthworm extract, mealworm extract and control without extract) with p values of 0.010 (for E. coli) and 0.000 (for S. epidermidis) and 0.007(for P.fluorescens). Hence, we conclude that both earthworm and mealworm extracts are viable agents that can utilized in the dispersal of formed biofilms of the three bacteria tested.
